I'm
a high school a senior about to graduate and I have no immigration
papers. My mom brought me here when I was a newborn and I have been
here for 18 yrs. I'm married to a U.S. citizen and I have a beautiful
baby boy. My husband wants to fix my papers but I'm scared that they
are going to want me to go back to Mexico. I just want an opportunity
to go to college, have a career, to provide for my son, and make my
family proud. I just want that one chance. I'm going to school and
have never had problems with the law. All my teachers adore me. Not
all illegal immigrants are the same. Some of us are just trying to
live out our dreams. Please help me since the DREAM ACT FAILED. PLEASE
TELL ME WHAT TO DO.

You
know, Amy, you CAN go to college. Some universites/colleges offer
annual scholarships for students like you, who have potential and
passion for the "American Dream", but lack a Social Security
number. Even though you're undocumented, you can still apply for
these special scholarships, but they're not very famous and are
very difficult to get, so I suggest you ask your counselor if he/she
know about any scholarships like these.
